How to setup auto-forwarding in Gmail for Aiko

Introduction

This guide will walk you through the process of setting up automated email forwarding in Gmail. We’ll cover how to forward emails from individual sender addresses and entire domains.

Prerequisites

  • A Gmail account
  • An Aiko Account
  • Access to a computer (not mobile device)

Copy your Aiko Forwarding Address

  1. Sign into your account at app.aikoemail.com
  2. Find the Snapshot you want to forward emails to.
  3. Click the Snapshot.
  4. Click “Copy” on the “Forward emails here” field.

The email address will look something like this:

Forwarding Emails from Individual Sender Addresses

  1. Open Gmail in your web browser.
  2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner and select “See all settings”.
  3. Navigate to the “Filters and Blocked Addresses” tab.
  4. Scroll down and click “Create a new filter”.
  5. In the “From” field, enter the email address you want to forward.
  6. Click “Create filter”.
  7. Check the box next to “Forward it to:”, then select an email address from the dropdown menu.
    • If you haven’t set up a forwarding address yet, click “Add a forwarding address” and follow the prompts.
  8. (Optional) Check any other actions you want to apply to these emails.
  9. Click “Create filter”.

Forwarding Emails from Entire Domains

  1. Follow steps 1-4 from the previous section.
  2. In the “From” field, enter “@domainname.com” (replace “domainname.com” with the actual domain).
  3. Click “Create filter”.
  4. Check the box next to “Forward it to:”, then select an email address from the dropdown menu.
  5. (Optional) Check any other actions you want to apply to these emails.
  6. Click “Create filter”.

Managing Forwarding Addresses

  1. Go to Gmail settings (gear icon > See all settings).
  2. Click on the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab.
  3. In the “Forwarding” section, you can add or remove forwarding addresses.

All set!

You’ve now set up automated email forwarding in Gmail for both individual sender addresses and entire domains. This will make using Aiko even easier.
